Typically at least twenty, 18 metre long, wire radials for 80m, and and least twenty, 30 metre long, wire radials for 160m, either surface-laid or buried.
Alternatively elevated and/or loaded radials can be used; please contact “DBL Antennas” to discuss your requirements.
(Antenna performance is, of course, dependent on ground characteristics, as with all normal vertical antennas). |

| Wind Resilience: | Wind-speed figures are not yet available, however, the production model antenna has withstood very high gales, on a very exposed farmland site, elevated 600 feet above sea level, on the North Hampshire Downs in the UK, throughout the whole of 2006. |
| Environmental Rating: | On-mast switching and tuning boxes, and port glands, rated to IP68. |
| Umbilical Cable (between Control Box and antenna): | Connectorised 25-way cable, 25m length supplied; greater lengths available to order. |
