Tenancy Contracts Tenants and landlord sign an assured short-hold tenancy contract usually for 6 months at the beginning of the tenancy. The contract can be extended by mutual consent after satisfactory completion of the first 6 months. 2 months mutual notice is required to terminate a tenancy.
