Author and minister
An Oxford University history graduate, David wrote a number of books on church history on subjects such as The Mayflower Pilgrims, John Wycliffe and Lord Radstock.

David was also a non-conformist preacher in the historic English city of Southampton. He retired in 1992, after 37 years as pastor of Spring Road Evangelical Church.
