We now live near Milford Haven, South Wales!
Before we decided to drop out of the rat race Leigh woked as a COBAL programmer - his last job was with Racal Recorders in Hythe, Southampton. Jo had a number of jobs mostly as a research ecologist working on marram grass, rare arable weeds and botanical information systems, but also worked backstage in the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton, and in the end as an IT person for Personal Pension Management Ltd in Salisbury,

My maiden name was Joanna Radford
I went to a variety of schools between 1965 & 1970, including St Agnes & St Michaels in East Grinstead; Bedgebury Park, Goudhurst, Kent; The Royal Naval School, Haslemere, Surrey and Lewes Technical College, Lewes, Sussex.
As a mature student I studied Biology and Environmental Science at The New University of Ulster (now the University of Ulster, where Leigh & I met), did a Ph. D. in Plant Ecology at the University of Southampton and an M. Sc. in Information Systems and Technology at The City University!
Leigh went to Sexeys Boys School in Bruton, Somerset, and lived with his first wife Anne in and around Priddy, Somerset before going to study Environmental Science at NUU.
Leigh and Anne's sons, Jonathan and Dominic, now living in Queensland, Australia and Dublin, Eire respectively, both became fathers for the first time in 1995. We went out to vistit Jon and Jayn (his partner) in 1998. They now have two children - Bran and Calam. Jayn, like her father, is a smith and also grows trees, Jon makes chairs and other furniture from local timbers.
