Burdock's Diary : Sessions One and Two

I have just watched Gandhi. I wonder how he would have dealt with Demons. Non-violently I'm sure. I wish I could say the same.

The Archangel Marc asked us to ensure that a Pizza delivery was successfully delivered to a big business meeting at the Civic Centre. He said it would ensure a smooth settlement between some big corporations and said this would aid The War. I am glad to see The War being fought in a peaceful manner. He said Demons might try to hinder us. He gave us a special pizza box which would protect the pizzas from infernal influence and lent us a van and a Cherub called Misa. We had rather too many Malakites for my liking. Fortunately Dandelion had been asked to help, so at least there was someone with a sense of reality.

One of those techy sorts managed to tap into the conference's phone system and we found out pizzas were ordered from Domino's. We even found out what they had ordered. We headed over to Domino's leaving Francis behind to check on the Conference. He had one of those naff mobile phones so we could communicate with him.

I went round the back of Domino's to talk to the delivery boys. Bob is a keen flautist, I must try and listen to some more flute music. He told me that Mike would probably delivering the pizza to the meeting. Mike is short and spotty and can't understand why women don't throw themselves at his feet. I wasn't going to tell him. A big guy appeared and started throwing mopeds at us. I managed to persuade him to throw one at me instead of Mike, and it almost killed me. The more violent members of our group opened fire on the Demon. They were helped by yet another Malakite who happened to be passing through. His friend was a Kyriotate who helped me out from under the bike and gave me some excellent first aid, I still felt bad. The Demon was forced to flee and we headed for the van. Dandelion had managed to persuade Mike to get into the van with the pizza order.

The Kyriotate (Martin) possessed Mike and Misa put the pizzas in the special pizza box. We set off. Some Demon jumped out of nowhere and did a Celestial Movement Song and transported the van to the wrong side of Dock Customs. We got through after Martin had possessed one of the Customs Officials. Kyriotate are clearly more sensible than Malakim or Demons - I can't imagine what the local papers are going to say about the fight at Domino's.

We headed on and a van started chasing us. The Malakite who had turned up with Martin was on a big bike and tried to deal with the chasing Demon. He got blown off his bike and into a TV shop. Nathaniel (one of our Malakim) turned our van round and got out to help our biker. We drove off to try and get the mission done, but our back tire was shot by the Demon in the van. We parked it in a multi-story and Martin borrowed a Volvo for us. We got to the Civic Centre. There was a suspicious looking road sweeper outside the entrance, who someone recognised as the Demon who had Moved us to the Docks. Dandelion and I decided to pacify him whilst the others got Mike to deliver the pizzas. Dandelion waved a Crown of Flowers over him whilst I made sure he remained within my pacifying influence. After he had finished dancing with us he Moved Dandelion up into the air and she had to manifest to avoid injury. I decided Singing Ethereal Forms would reduce his chance of trying anything on me whilst I persuaded him to redeem himself.

Unfortunately some of the others arrived about then and threw bits of furniture at him and shot him dead. I hid his body in the boot of the Volvo as the police were on there way. Nathaniel had the stupidity to say our influences in the police would be enough to cover this up if we left the body behind! But then I shouldn't expect a Malakite to understand any form of Nature let alone Human Nature. Martin and others doctored the CCTV tapes at the Civic Centre so they wouldn't show us murdering a street sweeper.

Then I went clubbing.
