O come swiftly

In his dreams, Tsuzuki whispers; let me lean into your body, against death's flesh and in death's gentle cruel hands, and shut my eyes at last. Fold me in your long white sleeves and take me out under the red, red moon.

You needn't play with anyone else any more. I'm waiting for you.

I've been waiting for years now. I'm tired of waiting. I've wept my eyes dry while I was waiting for you. I grow impatient.

Come to me, Muraki; come, my death, my sweet, my long-awaited ending; death waits in white among the cherry blossoms; come swiftly.
