"Right," Sanzou said. "So since you two are on the job, here's a list of items that have gone missing from temples recently. You can use your connections in the criminal and gambling underworlds --"

"Gambling?" Hakkai asked innocently.

"Criminal?" Gojou asked, less successfully innocently.

"Buns?" Gokuu piped hopefully.

Sanzou snorted. "Twelve lohans, eleven ginseng roots, ten imprisoned demon foxes, nine shikigami, eight immortals, seven Holy Grails, six Shrouds of Turin, five splinters of the True Cross, four Toushin Taishis, three world-building sutras, two missing Sanzous . . ."

"And a partridge in a pear tree?"

"A black stone bird. Actually. From Malta."
