necessities

It was the nicest, pleasantest world-conquerors-summit that anyone (had they been present and alive and capable of perception) could ever have seen.

Dakki folded her hands and propped her chin on them and looked up through her lashes at Aizen. "Oh, I couldn't do without my sisters. They're so faithful and loyal to me, and they're ready to help with anything that I ask them. Bewitching the Emperor, preparing a new host for me, chopping up an enemy's son into hamburgers . . . I couldn't cope without them."

"I quite understand," Aizen said pleasantly. "I depend totally on my own subordinates. When it comes to murders, thefts, massacring the governing body of Seireitai . . . I agree that one needs people whom one can depend upon."

"So that's item one on the list of necessities. Dependable subordinates." Dakki wrote it down and put a little heart next to it.

"And item two?" Aizen asked.

"Preparations for removing the subordinates if they get any silly little ideas. You know the sort of thing."

"Ah, yes," Aizen agreed. "Silly little ideas are so inconvenient."
