White Lotus

Holmes leaned forward in his chair.

"Master Aang," he said, fingers steepled, "I believe that there is a factor of which you are, as yet, unaware."

Aang looked up from stuffing his face with muffins. "Oh?" he said, trying not to spray crumbs around or get his buttery fingers on the furniture.

Holmes nodded. "From the data which you have provided to me, and the accounts of your friends, I must conclude the existence of a hidden group. They act from the shadows, unperceived, and may be deduced only by the results of their actions. But how else to explain the lack of reprisal in certain cases? Your ability to escape in others? No, I believe there is a group with factions in both the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom, which has been working to assist you."

"This is so cool," Aang said.

Holmes' brows drew together. "I can deduce nothing more. Indeed, my only remaining inference consists of the symbol which young Master Sokka mentioned."

"Oh?"

"The white lotus," Holmes said. "And I am uncertain as to whether you should treat them as an ally, or beware of their interference. Data! Data! I need more data! I cannot make bricks without straw!"

"You can if you earthbend them," Aang said helpfully, then got very interested in the muffins again as Holmes glared at him.
